Hackers. Over and over again…
Today the representatives of Canonical Company announced that the web servers of Ubuntu Linux were attacked by hackers. As a result 5 from 8 servers were deactivated. Admittedly the source of attack is situated in China. The attack was fixed on August, 6. During the attack the different methods of DDoS and passwords’ search were used.
John Beicon, manager of Ubuntu Community, said that some information was fully destroyed, because of old version of Software. Besides, the malefactors obtained admittance to FTP. After that the exterior Software was loaded!
In the next future Ubuntu is going to toughen the policy of servers’ working and to limit the executable files’ working.
